The Donald W. Reynolds Library in Mountain Home will be hosting the Baxter County Historical & Genealogical Society for their monthly meeting. The meeting will take place in the Knox Room on Tuesday at six.

The Baxter County Historicial and Genealogical Society will include “The Living History Series” at some of their meetings, as a special guest speaker feature. Long time members of the Society, Joan and Howard Reeves will be the speakers this month. Joan and Howard volunteer almost every time the Hertiage Center is open. The two Baxter County natives have tons of first-hand information, particularly on the people and places of the county.

The mission of the Historical Society is “Preserving the Past for the Future.” Everyone has a story and in this series will focus on members of our community, allowing them to share their own story.

Contact the Historical Society at 870-425-2551 or email bcheritagecenter@gmail.com or through the Facebook page: Baxter County Historical & Genealogical Society, Inc. or check out their website: www.baxtercountyhistory.org, for more information.

Admission is free and guests are welcome.
