The Hope Continuum of North Central Arkansas is conducting their yearly Point in Time count, where organizers come together to reach out to the homeless in the Twin Lakes Area. According to Hope Board Member Travis Ray Turner, the event is important to hear from as many homeless as they can. The information gathered will help obtain figures for grant money to go to programs which assist those in need.

Those who find themselves homeless are encouraged to call the Foodbank of North Central Arkansas at 870-499-7565 in Baxter and Marion Counties. For Marion County the numbers to call are 870-704-8077 or 870-704-8079.

Chief Executive Officer for the Foodbank Jeff Quick, says they are looking for those who do not have a place to stay Wednesday evening to call the numbers.
