NEWS 1-25-16 Drzka to appear on Sexual Assault charges EST

A Mountain Home man, 21-year-old Kristopher Drzka, is scheduled to make a first appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court today on felony sexual assault charges filed against him while he was in jail on unrelated charges of probation violation and domestic battery.

According to an arrest affidavit the Mountain Home Police Department received a report Friday from the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division which states a 14-year-old female, at the time, was at a park with, the then 19-year-old, Drzka and some friends in the summer of 2015. Everyone left around dusk except Drzka and her.

She had never met him before, yet stated she decided to wait around with him until his ride came to pick him up. It was at this time, according to the victim, Drzka pinned her up against a gazebo and began inappropriately touching her. She states she put up a fight, biting him, until he let go and she was able to run home.

The affidavit says Drzka allegedly admitted to the accusations and corroborated the victim’s story. He said she bit him three times, twice on the chest and once on the neck. The final bite hurt him enough, he said, to finally let her go.

Kristopher Drzka has been in the Baxter County Detention Center on the unrelated charges since December 29th with a bond set at $500.
