Police in Pine Bluff are looking for suspects in connection with the south-central Arkansas city’s third homicide of the year.

Television station KATV reports that officers responded to reports of gunfire shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday.

Officers found 30-year-old Willie Baines of Pine Bluff in a car with a gunshot wound to the head. Baines was transported to a hospital in Little Rock, where police say he died from his wounds Saturday evening.

Authorities say a man who was arrested near the scene of the crime was accused of unrelated offenses. Detectives are still working to determine if he was present during the shooting.

Neither a motive for the shooting nor the identity of any suspects has been made public.
