High school basketball makes up much of the local Monday schedule as regional play comes to an end in Arkansas.
The Class 1A Region 2 Tournament will wrap up action at the Harold Ray Jeffrey Gymnasium in Calico Rock. The girls’ championship game will pair familiar foes as Norfork and Izard County tip off at six p.m. Izard County will also play for the boys’ title as they take on Bay at 7:30.
The Class 1A Region 2 Tournament will conclude at Omaha. Both the host teams will be matched up with Alpena in the third place games starting with the girls at noon. Jasper will play in the title games as the Lady Pirates face Kingston at 6:00, and the Jasper boys will go up against Deer at 7:30.
The Class 3A Region 3 Tournament comes to an end at Riverside High School in Lake City. In the third place games, Mountain View’s girls meet Osceola at noon, and the Marshall boys face Clinton at 1:30. Valley Springs’ girls will play for the championship at 6:00 against Hoxie.
Postseason play continues in Missouri as Branson’s boys begin action in the Class 5, District 11 Tournament at Glendale High School in Springfield. The Pirates take on Springfield Parkview at 3:00.
