The local Saturday sports schedule includes the season opener for the Mountain Home High School track teams. The Bombers and Lady Bombers will make the first of two trips to Heber Springs for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Relays.
As a team, Mountain Home finished its 2016 campaign in the Class 6A State Meet in Benton. The Lady Bombers finished 11th on the girls’ team leaderboard, Mountain Home’s boys ended up tied for 13th with Little Rock Hall.

The West Plains High School girls’ basketball team is one win away from a state tournament berth. The top-seeded Lady Zizzers will be in Bolivar for the championship game of the Class 4, District 9 Tournament as they take on Logan-Rogersville at 1:00.
