Both lanes of U. S. Highway 178 bridge over Bull Shoals Dam will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, according to an announcement from the Corps of Engineers. From 7 in the evening until 7 in the morning one lane will remain closed each of those days.
Beginning Wednesday, one lane will remain closed until the rehab work is completed which is expected to be in the fall.
Additional road closures of up to two days will need to be scheduled periodically as work progresses, in order to move equipment.
The corps, who has coordinated this closure with local emergency and law enforcement agencies, regrets any inconvenience this may cause. Motorists traveling in the area should expect delays, obey flagmen and operate cautiously around equipment and work crews.
