Arkansas to face North Carolina in NCAA second round

The Arkansas Razorback basketball team is looking to advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time in 1996. The Hogs will be paired with the South Region's top seed from North Carolina in the second round of the NCAA Tournament Sunday in Greenville, South Carolina.

Arkansas is currently 26-9 on the season. The Razorbacks began the tournament Friday with a six-point win over Seton Hall. North Carolina is 28-7. The Tar Heels beat up on Texas Southern two days ago.

This will be the third consecutive time for Arkansas's NCAA Tournament appearances in which they meet North Carolina in the Round of 32. The Hogs played the Tar Heels in their last tournament appearance two years ago, and the first matchup was in 2008 when Arkansas was in its first season under former head coach John Pelphrey. North Carolina won both games.

Tip-off at Bon Secours Wellness Arena is scheduled for 5:10. Sunday's game can be seen on TNT.
