No new developments on missing Searcy County teen

There have been no new leads regarding a Searcy County teenager who has been missing since Saturday afternoon, according to a spokesperson from the Searcy County Sheriff’s Department. 14-year-old Kira Jewell of Harriet was last seen at her residence on Warrior Drive.Searcy County Sheriff Joey Pruitt says Jewell told her mother she was going to take a walk around 1:30 in the afternoon, but her mother he mother was not sure when her daughter actually left the house. She was wearing a blue tank top, black spandex shorts and black glasses and carrying a hot pink cinch-style bag.

Jewell is described as having brown hair and green eyes. She is five feet one inches tall and weighs 95 pounds.

Anyone with information on Jewell’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Searcy County Sheriff’s Office at 870-448-2340, call 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678) or 911.

A candlelight vigil for Jewell will be held Monday evening at 7:00 at the Rock Creek Community Center.  For more information call 870-504-0216.
