A residence on County Road 604 is a total loss after a structure fire Monday morning. According to spokesperson from the Buford Fire Department, firefighters arrived on the scene south of Old Military Road around 7:00 as the house was fully involved. No one was harmed. There is no official determination as to the cause, but investigators speculate it may have been caused by a lightning strike. The spokesman also stated smoke may be visible at the location for a few days.
