A Mountain Home woman, 35-year-old Brandy Lee Shepherd, was arrested by a Baxter County Sheriff’s Deputy Tuesday on felony drug possession charges after a traffic stop. She is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Court Thursday, April 27th.According to the arrest affidavit, the arresting officer pulled over the vehicle Shepherd was driving because it didn’t have a license plate. When unable to provide a driver’s license Shepherd allegedly admitted she was driving while her license was suspended because her work permit had expired.

A search of Shepherd’s vehicle before it was towed revealed a pill bottle, between the driver’s seat and the center console, which contained a small amount of suspected methamphetamine.
