Severe weather possible Wednesday and Friday


Rain is expected to continue across the Twin Lakes Area Wednesday along with the potential for severe weather. Conditions will improve Thursday but another round of storms is in the forecast for Friday, bringing with it heavy rainfall and possibly severe weather.Meteorologist Lance Pyle, from the National Weather Service in Little Rock, has more on what to expect.

Pyle says we’ll have a quiet period Thursday as Wednesday’s cold front moves out to the east. High pressure will then build back up across the state.

According to Pyle the area should see a significant amount of rain.

The predicted rainfall will affect area lake levels as well. As of 5:00 Wednesday morning Bull Shoals Lake level is at 662.09, 3.1 feet above the normal conservation pool. Lake Norfork is at 556.87 which is also 3.1 feet above the normal conservation pool.
