Third record rainfall of the year Wednesday

Mountain Home had another rainfall record broken Wednesday. KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot studios, the official reporting station for the National Weather Service in Mountain Home, measured the rainfall total between seven a.m. Wednesday and seven a.m. Thursday and it reached 2.24 inches. Weather data is recorded during that time frame. Even though the majority of precipitation fell Wednesday it’s reported the next day.The previous record for April 27th was 1.83 inches set in 1925. For the month of April, the average total rainfall is 4.13. The total rainfall for this month as of seven a.m. Thursday is 8.83 inches, which already puts it in the top ten wettest Aprils on record. This April now ranks as the eight wettest April of all time. The previous eighth wettest April ever recorded was 8.59 inches in 1983.
