(AP) – A woman is accused in southwestern Missouri of
drunkenly causing a fatal car crash in December.KOLR-TV reports that Greene County prosecutors have charged Melissa Mahan with first-degree involuntary manslaughter.

Authorities allege Mahan’s blood-alcohol level was .295 percent – more than three times the state’s legal threshold of intoxication – on Dec. 5 when her vehicle sideswiped a vehicle driven by Leslee Owrey of Fair Play.

Owrey’s vehicle then left the road and overturned, ejecting Owrey. She died at a hospital.

Online court records don’t show whether Mahan has an attorney.
