Due to significant flood potential this weekend, the 2nd Annual Steel Creek Concert featuring National Park Radio has been postponed until further notice. The concert, originally scheduled to coincide with National Park Week, was postponed in order to promote visitor safety and protection of park resources. A new concert date will be determined and announced in the near future. Other special events planned for this weekend, including Yoga in the Park and the Buffalo River Cleanup, have also been postponed. These events will likely be rescheduled to coincide with the new concert date.

Last year’s concert attracted an estimated 600 visitors for an evening of live music among the unmatched natural beauty of Buffalo National River at Steel Creek, located off of Hwy. 74 near the town of Ponca. This year’s event will offer vendors and educational booths in addition to the live folk and bluegrass music of Harrison-based National Park Radio. These events have been made possible by the generous sponsorship and volunteerism of the Buffalo National River Partners, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the promotion, appreciation, preservation and protection of the Buffalo River.
