As the Army Corps of Engineers continues to keep flood gates open at Norfork Dam, the good news is the lake is expected to crest tomorrow afternoon and hopefully, the corps will be able to stop the release through the flood gates, according to Mark Case, acting operations project manager.

The corps notified the public they would begin releasing water from the flood gates Sunday morning at the rate of about 24,000 cubic feet per second with additional discharge totaling 28,000 cubic feet per second before increasing the water release at 10 Sunday morning at a rate of just over 49,000 cubic feet per second, says Case.
