The Baxter County Quorum Court is scheduled to meet in regular session Tuesday evening at 6:00 in the second floor of the courthouse. Items on the meetings agenda, under new business, include an ordinance to adopt the changes to the existing personnel policy manual. Part of the revisions include allowing full-time employees to carry a firearm on county property.Other items under new business include appropriating fees and reimbursements received in March to the Sheriffs Department 2017 budget and appropriating revenues in the amount of $156,000 from the Baxter County Nursing Home Fund for the Sheriff’s Department to purchase six new vehicles.
$2,500 in revenues, from the same nursing home fund, will be considered for the Building and Grounds Budget to purchase the property adjacent to the 911 center.
Other ordinances to be considered are an appropriation of funds in the amount of $35,900 from the special jail fees fund into the 2017 budget and an ordinance re-appropriating funds in the 10th Judicial District Court Budget.
A resolution to confirm the appointment of Will Gregory to the Mountain Home Rural Fire Protection District will also be considered.
