Both superintendents said damages to their school facilities were limited. At Gainesville, there was damage to both the softball and baseball fields.

Late Tuesday, Bakersfield Superintendent Amy Britt said classes there are cancelled for the remainder of the week.

Britt says damages at the main Bakersfield campus ere minimal with the exception of the historic rock wall, which they will evaluate and make repairs.

Bakersfield sports complexes suffered catastrophic damage. Britt says they are covered by insurance and the district will work hard to restore them.
