This will be Sims’ second coaching job after spending this past season as the girls’ coach at Hector. He led the Lady Wildcats to the Class 2A state championship game where they fell to Quitman. Hector also fell in the state title game to Earle the previous year as Sims was a student teacher and a volunteer assistant coach. He was a student at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville at the time. Sims says he will take the lessons he learned at Hector with him to Yellville-Summit.
