At 10:30 there will be a super hero theme story time. Children will get to listen to hero themed books and create a super hero mask.

A costume contest will start at 11:30. There are different divisions for children and teen/adults. Winners will receive a $10 Amazon gift card.

At noon, there will be an art class to teach participants how to draw comic-style.

There will also be a showing of the PG13 movie Doctor Strange at 12:30. This movie follows the journey of a neurosurgeon who is drawn to the world of mystic arts.

Free Comic Book Day is a national event to help promote reading for all ages. Comic books began in the 30’s and became a unique form of American art. Since then, comics have spread around the world and are available for readers of all tastes, with comics ranging from super-hero adventures to thrilling science fiction and intense drama.
