Regional tournaments continue for baseball and softball throughout Arkansas.
Mammoth Spring’s baseball team will compete in the semifinals of the Class 1A Region 2 Tournament at Armorel. The Bears meet the host Tigers at 2:30.
The semifinals of the Class 1A Region 1 Tournament will be played at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison. Omaha gets underway at noon against Shirley, and Lead Hill faces Alpena at 2:30.
After a pair of delays due to recent flooding, the Class 3A Region 3 Tournament gets started at Manila. Melbourne takes on Corning at 12:30, Mountain View will be paired with Riverside at 3:00, and Valley Springs plays the host Lions at 5:30.
Three area softball teams will take part in the semifinals of the Class 1A Region 2 Tournament at Armorel. Viola takes the field at noon against Armorel, and Calico Rock faces Izard County at 2:30.
The Class 1A Region 1 Tournament semifinals will be held in Harrison. Omaha plays the opener at noon against Decatur, and Rural Special takes on Shirley at 2:30.
Salem will return to Palestine-Wheatley High School for the semifinals of the Class 2A North Regional Tournament. The Lady Greyhounds will be matched up with East Poinsett County at noon.
The Class 3A Region 3 Tournament begins at Manila after a pair of delays. Melbourne plays Corning at 12:30, Mountain View meets Walnut Ridge at 3:00, and Valley Springs faces Rivercrest at 5:30.
