YELL COUNTY, Ark. Three people were shot in Yell County Thursday morning,and the suspect took two people hostage inside a building, Melody Daniel with the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management told 40/29 News. Daniel’s latest update had come at 9 a.m., and local law enforcement was working the case, she said.
The public should stay out of the Dardanelle and Chickalah area, state police have warned. This is in northeastern Yell County, about eight miles southwest of Russellville.
The Arkansas State Police’s Criminal Investigation Division and its Highway Patrol are both working with local authorities in the case, Trooper First Class Liz Chapman with Arkansas State Police told 40/29 News.
A description of the suspect and the condition of the victims were not immediately available for release.
