2 local women injured in 1-vehicle Ozark County accident

A one-vehicle crash Friday night in Ozark County resulted in two local women suffering minor injuries. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 29-year-old Courtney Stearns of Mountain Home and her passenger, 18-year-old Abigail Church of Gainesville, were transported by a private vehicle to Baxter Regional Medical Center from the accident scene in Hardenville.

Stearns and Church were traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 160. Their vehicle attempted to overtake another vehicle when they lost control, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a culvert. No condition report was available for Stearns or Church.

Stearns’ vehicle had extensive damage in the nine p.m. accident.
