Calico Rock’s softball season came to an end Monday in the semifinals of the Class 1A State Tournament at Pine Bluff Regional Park. The Lady Pirates fell short of a weekend trip to Fayetteville as they were edged out by Scranton 4-3. The Lady Rockets will play for the state championship Saturday at Bogle Park on the campus of the University of Arkansas.
