State championship weekend begins Friday at Fayetteville, and Mountain Home’s boys will have the first soccer game on the University of Arkansas campus. The Bombers will play for the Class 6A title as they will be paired with Siloam Springs.
Mountain Home will also look to finish the season undefeated. The Bombers are 18-0 with the number one seed from the East, and they’ll face the top seed out of the West in Siloam Springs.
This will be Mountain Home’s fifth appearance in the state championship match. The previous four appearances have been unsuccessful for the Bombers, and head coach Bryan Mattox says this year’s matchup with the Panthers will not be any easier.

Another area soccer team will be on Razorback Field later in the day. Harrison’s girls will compete for the Class 5A state championship as they will go up against Maumelle.
The Lady Goblins are looking for their second consecutive title and their sixth overall, and they will face a Lady Hornet team they are already familiar with. Harrison defeated Maumelle nearly two weeks ago in the finals of the 5A-West Conference Tournament.
Gametime is set for 2:00.
