A series of break ins, in a little over a month time span in the Mountain Home area, has local businesses on guard. According to Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manual, official reports cannot be released due to some sensitive “to the case” information as they are still under investigation. Four commercial burglaries and theft of property have been reported from April 5th through May 19th.On April 5th E-C Engineering and Manufacturing, located at 719 Highway 5 North, reported a break in. Other reports came from Satin and Lace, at 608 South Church Street, on April 7th; from Kimmer Properties’ storage unit, at 234 North Church Street, on May 16th; and Jackson Rentals and Supplies, at 100 East 3rd Street, on May 19th.

Items collectively taken during the burglaries include money, computer equipment and supplies, a microwave, stereo, flute, bed, and blankets.

Manual says access was gained by forced entry and advises businesses to make sure their structures are as secure as possible and report any unusual activity.

If anyone has information on the burglaries, please call the Mountain Home Police Department at 425-6336.
