Joseph Alan Pritchard, a parolee from Illinois, pled guilty to charges against him during a special session of Baxter County Circuit Court Tuesday and was sentenced to 10 years probation and ordered to pay $20,000 in restitution.

The 46-year-old Pritchard was charged with fraudulent use of a credit/debit card and theft of property.

At the time of his arrest, Pritchard was living with his mother and her boyfriend at a residence along Lindwood Drive in Briarcliff. According to the probable cause affidavit, he had moved in with them in October 2015 and was being supervised by Mountain Home probation/parole officers.

The boyfriend told investigators he received information that Pritchard was pawning items at a shop in Mountain Home and began an inventory and found coins — some described as rare and uncirculated — and a circular saw were missing.

In addition, the mother and boyfriend found that their bank accounts had allegedly been accessed by Pritchard without their permission between December 5th and 14th of last year. Almost $600 was taken from the accounts, according to information given to law officers.
