Spring sports all-state teams named

The All-State teams for Spring sports in Arkansas have been released by the Arkansas Activities Association and the area is well represented.

Mountain Home had a great showing on the Clas 6A All-State soccer teams. On the boy’s side, four Bombers earned the honor. They were Xaco Baonza, Mitch McDonald, Ewan Platt and Jason Standridge.
Three Lady Bombers were named All-State. They were Mackayla Medley, Lauren Helmert and Sabra Wickersham.

In baseball, 14 area players were named All-State. Mountain Home placed two players, Luke Kruse and Marshall Roberson, on the Class 6A team. Named All-State in Class 5A was Harrison’s Quinn Cherry. In class 3A, Melbourne’s Chipper Lamb and Mountain View’s Ryan Sullivan both were named. Making the class 2A All-State team was Tyler Guffy of Salem. Making the Class 1A All-State team were Robby Holtby of Bruno-Pyatt, Lead Hill’s Ozzie Sindland and Tommy Sindland, Sagen Godwin and Logan Skaggs from Mammoth Spring, Omaha’s Garret Mattox and Viola’s Jon Martin and Will Wilson.

Fourteen softball players from north central Arkansas were named All-State. In Class 6A, Mountain Home’s Morgan Pierski earned the honor. In Class 5A, Collette Lavoi of Harrison was named to the team. Making it in Class 3A were Melbourne’s Cailey Casey and Courtney Dalton from Valley Springs. In class 2A, Salem’s Eric Cameron was honored. Named to the Class 1A All-State team were Madinson Phillips of Bruno-Pyatt, Calico Rock’s Jaclyn Hamby and Kameron Teague, Betsy Sindland from Lead Hill, Omaha’s Jasmine McClellan and Sidney Kuykendoll, Leslie Goodnight of Rural Special and Mallory Guffey and Keyaira Moore of Viola.
