The Cotter City Council ratified two appointments to the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission in its meeting Thursday evening. Mayhor Peggy Hammack has appointed Tom Bryant and Mike Isom as new commissioners.
In other business, Tim Malaney addressed the council regarding storm water control and flooding seeking a workshop to be set to further discuss solutions to drainage issues in Cotter.
The council passed a resolution to receive non-matching grant funds from the Arkansas Natural Resoruces Commission for ductile iron and regrade sewer lines for phase one of improvements to the sewer system the city shares with Gassville.
It was also announced a Memorial Day service is set for Tuesday evening, May 30 at 6 at Walnut
Hill Cemetery.
The next scheduled regularly scheduled city council meeting is set for June 22 at 6 p.m. at
Cotter City Hall.
