Wednesday is the deadline for the Personal and Business Personal property assessment in Arkansas. There is a 10% penalty for anyone who assesses after the deadline. The County Assessor’s office is required to appraise and assess all personal property between January first and May 31st.
Residence and Business owners may assess by calling (870)425-3453, going online to www.baxtercountyassessor.com , visiting the Assessor’s office at 6 East 7th Street across from the Court House, or faxing assessments to (870)425-2527.
The Assessor’s office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 in the morning until 4:30 in the afternoon.
