American Red Cross in need of new local blood donors

The American Red Cross is urging anyone who has never given blood in the past and anyone who hasn’t given recently to make an appointment to give blood or platelets to help sustain a sufficient community blood supply this summer.

Several donation opportunities will be available at the Mountain Home Blood Donation Center located at 1041 Highland Circle, Suite 22. The first will be Wednesday from ten to five. Other opportunites include Thursday, Friday and Sunday from eight to three; Monday from nine to five; June 7th from ten to five; June 8th, 9th and 11th from eight to three; June 12th from nine to five; June 14th from ten to five; and June 15th from eight to three.

More donation opportunites in Mountain Home will occur Friday from 11 to three at Lowe’s, June 8th from noon to five at Baxter Healthcare Corporation, June 13th from one to six at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and June 14th from eight to noon and from to six at Baxter Regional Medical Center.

In addition, the Red Cross will have more opportunites Wednesday afternoon from one to five at the John E. Miller Complex on the campus of Ozarka College in Melbourne and Sunday from two to seven at the Bergman Church of Christ.
