Connie Williams of Midway was sentenced to four years probation during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday after admitting that she had drugs in her possesion when she was pulled over in late April for having an expired vehicle license.Williams’ vehicle was pulled over by a Baxter County Deputy Sheriff on Highway 5 North after the deputy noticed that the dealer tags on the 2005 Ford Focus she was driving had expired.

The 32-year-old Williams could not produce a driver’s license, and the deputy determined that her license had been suspended and that she had active arrest warrants.

After she was taken into custody, the deputy searched her vehicle and found drugs, including methamphetamine, and items of drug paraphernalia.

Williams was sentenced under the provisions of Act 346, meaning that if she stays out of trouble during her probation period, she can apply to the court to have her record sealed.
