It was a busy Memorial Day weekend for the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police. Several arrests were conducted including 18 for driving while intoxicated, nine for public intoxication, nine for disorderly conduct, two for fleeing, two for being a minor in possession of alcohol, two for resisting arrest, seven for possession of a controlled substance, two for interfering with a governmental operation and seven for driving on a suspended license. In addition, Fulton County law enforcement recovered a stolen vehicle for Baxter County and arrested the driver.

A few arrests were also conducted before the holiday weekend. According to Sheriff Al Roork, 39-year-old Johnny Propst and 37-year-old Deborah Compton of Cherokee Village were booked Thursday and face felony counts of possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, use or possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to pack, repack, store, contain or analyze methamphetamine and introduction of a controlled substance into the body of another person. The latter charge stems from a nine-month-old child allegedly testing positive for methamphetamine and marijuana. Propst and Compton also face a misdemeanor count of use or possession with the purpose to use drug paraphernalia.

A Missouri man also faces a pair of felonies in Fulton County. Sheriff Roork reports 26-year-old Cody Fitzpatrick of Thayer was arrested last Wednesday for aggravated assault on a family or household member and terroristic threatening.
