48-year-old Tommy Hitt of Mountain Home was arrested again Tuesday on a felony burglary charge after officers responded to a burglary complaint on Nevada Street, his previous residence. Officers tracked Hitt to a residence in Clarkridge Tuesday and he was booked into the Baxter County Jail on a $25,000 bond. In addition to the new charge Hitt has three active drug cases.

According to Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manual, on Sunday officers met with the property owner on Nevada Street and noticed damage to the garage door and front door of the residence. Recently, officers executed a search warrant at the same residence. Hitt and 52-year-old Dawn Gowen were arrested May 10th following a police search there in which drugs and drug paraphernalia were found. Both Hitt and Gowen were evicted from the property after their arrest.

After police found Hitt in Clarkridge, he attempted to flee through the back door of the residence where an officer ordered him to stop. He complied and was subsequently interviewed about the burglary on Nevada Street. He allegedly stated he entered the residence to retrieve property left behind when he was evicted.

He is scheduled to appear in Circuit Court in June.
