The Melodikats are this weeks headliner for the fourth series of Mountain Home’s Friday Night Block Party on the Square. The show is scheduled to kick off at 7:00 Friday evening. Holy Smokes will be serving barbecue. This weeks sponsor is Gregory Jewelers.According to Event Coordinator Ron Shire The Melodikats are a classic rock and pop hits cover band, playing songs by Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, Huey Lewis and the News, Doobie Brothers and even John Mayer.
Eddy King is a keyboardist and vocalist and his wife, Vonda King, sings and plays keys and percussion. Tim Martin is also a vocalist. The bassist is Mike Walker. Steve Kesler rounds out the Kats rhythm section on the drums. Pete Adams sings lead and background vocals and plays electric and acoustic mandolin, fiddle, keys, bass and his signature melodica. Rob Styer plays guitar.
The Friday Night Block Party will go through the second Friday of September. The family friendly event will have vendors, food, crafts and prizes.
