The body believed to be that of a Nashville, Arkansas, resident missing since last weekend’s flash flooding in Branson has been recovered. According to Springfield television station KYTV, the Branson Police Department says the body likely of 31-year-old Whitney McDonald was recovered Saturday morning in Bull Shoals Lake.

A total of five individuals were in a car driven by McDonald last Saturday when it got swept away near Fall Creek Road and Jupiter Way, but two of them were able to escape. Branson Police and fire crews found the body of 37-year-old Antonio Finley around two a.m. Sunday along Fall Creek Road near Cooper Creek Resort, and they were assisted by the Western Taney County Fire Protection District when they found the body of 17-year-old Kaliea Munn nearly six hours later.

People fishing on Bull Shoals Lake called police around 6:30 Saturday morning to report a body in the water near Forsyth downstream from the Powersite Dam at Lake Taneycomo. The Western Taney County Fire Protection District water rescue team responded to recover the body.

The body was turned over to the Taney County Coroner.
