Taste of Twin Lakes event Tuesday

The ninth annual Taste of the Twin Lakes, featuring local restaurants, gets underway Tuesday evening at 6:00 at the Baxter County Fairgrounds in the Education Building. The fundraiser benefits the local domestic violence shelter, Serenity Inc.Serenity Board President Jennifer Porter says this is her seventh year promoting The Taste of the Twin Lakes and it is an integral part of the nonprofit organization’s annual funding. The event helps the agency provide emergency shelter and support services to victims of domestic violence throughout the year.

Porter says the event features sample tasting of signature dishes from area restaurants. The samples will be judged in casual and fine dining categories.

In addition to the food samplings, participants will have a chance to bid on a variety of live and silent auction items.

Tickets are $45 per person and can be purchased at The Purple Door, Integrity First Bank and the
Serenity Office at 1015 Highway 62 West.
