ABC/Image Group LA Brantley Gilbert and his wife Amber are having a little boy.
In a gender reveal that was distinctly Brantley, the “Weekend” hitmaker fired a rifle at a target, which resulted in a cloud of blue smoke that revealed the gender of their little one.
Brantley admits he was caught off-guard by the emotional reaction of the forty friends and family members who were watching.
“Everybody was crying,” he tells People. “I turned around, and I think that’s when it hit me that everybody’s wanted this for us as much as we did for so long… Now we know it’s a little boy, and he’s going to have to get ready for a whole lot of love.”
Brantley and Amber’s son is due November 17. Meanwhile, his dad has a new single, “The Ones Who Like Me.”
