Later this month at the end of the day, Roz Blagg, Vice Chancellor for Student Services at Arkansas State University Mountain Home, will turn out the lights and close the door of her office on the third floor of Roller Hall one last time. After 18 years at the local college, Blagg has decided to retire and pursue numerous personal passions.

Her journey from Mountain Home Public Schools where she was Teacher of the Year to ASUMH in 1998 came at an ideal time, giving her a front row seat in the development of the new campus. As she reflects on the highlights of her ASUMH tenure, Blagg says the creation of the new campus was an exciting time to be a part of ASUMH.

Like hundreds of others she made the trek from the old campus downtown on a cold January day in 2000 to a new campus that has been envied across the state.

For those who know the energetic Blagg, they will not be surprised that her retirement bucket list includes spending more time with family, more fun and adventure with two grandchildren, horseback riding with her husband, skiing, zip lining, mountain climbing, church mission work, and on and on her list goes. But at the end of every adventure, she plans to return to Mountain Home.

A retirement reception for Blagg is set for Tuesday, June 27, from 11-1 in the Gaston Lobby of Roller Hall on the ASUMH campus.
