A parolee compliance visit in Baxter County led to the arrest of the parolee’s live-in girlfriend. Thirty-one-year-old Amber Eads of Oakland was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center Sunday evening on a felony count of possession of drug paraphernalia and released an hour later after posting a $2,500 bond.

In an affidavit from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Investigator George Edings reports he assisted two Arkansas Community Corrections officers on the visit on County Road 984 in rural Mountain Home. The address was listed to Jason Biddle who was not present at the time of the visit. Eads was present and let the officers into the residence. They located nearly ten used syringes in the shared bedroom and bathroom. Edings says based on surrounding objects, it was determined the syringes were predominantly used by Eads, and at least one of the syringes field tested positive for methamphetamine. The officers also located a jar in a dresser drawer in the bedroom with a small plastic baggie. A small amount of white crystalline residue field testing positive for methamphetamine was inside the baggie.

Eads is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court.
