As the search continues for a new head football coach at Mountain Home High School, three in-district coaches have applied for the position. Justin Bigham, Bryan Mattox and Freddy Penka all have put in for the job. The first five days of the search was limited to those employees in the district. The search is now open to applicants from outside of the district through next Monday.
Bigham just finished his first season as an assistant coach for the Bombers. He is currently the interim head coach.
Mattox, who is also the head boy’s soccer coach, has been the junior high head coach for the past four seasons.
Penka has been the 7th grade coach since 2006.
Mountain Home is looking for a replacement for former head coach David Joyce who resigned last week to take over the program at Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
