Cole Swindell brings on the fun with “Flatliner,” with a little help from Dierks Bentley

ABC/Image Group LA Cole Swindell and Dierks Bentley laid down vocals for “Flatliner” long before the two set out together on the What the Hell Tour.  But Cole says their ongoing trek is what’s really brought his latest hit to life.

“I knew it was a fun song when we recorded it,” the Georgia native recalls. “But that’s a whole different world, being in the studio… hoping it’s gonna be fun, and then actually getting out there in front of the crowd with a guy you’ve looked up to.”

Cole says when he returns each night to sing “Flatliner” near the end of Dierks’ set, that’s when the party really reaches its peak.

“It’s amazing, the energy,” he reflects. “You know, that’s a huge part of why we released that song, is coming off of two deeper songs, I wanted to have something fun, and that’s what that song’s all about is just fun.”

“Flatliner” is currently closing in on the top ten, with the potential to be Cole’s seventh #1 in a row.

Cole and Dierks get their next chance to sing it again this Friday night, as they play Tampa, Florida with opener Jon Pardi.
