A reported fight on 8th Street in Mountain Home led to a Mountain Home woman being taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center complaining of chest pains and later arrested on felony drug charges.Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel says when officers responded to the reported fight on June 8, they observed two females sitting in a vehicle at the 8th Street residence. While officers attempted to speak with the complainant, one of the females attempted to interfere with
the questioning. The female disregarded officers’ commands to stop yelling and screaming and was arrested for disorderly conduct.

The complainant told officers the females arrived at his apartment with drugs. He told both females to leave and ultimately had to push them out of his residence. At this point, the arrested female, 61-year-old Deborah Patterson, complained of a chest pain in the area she states she was punched by the complainant. Patterson was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center. While at the hospital, officers recovered a substance belonging to Patterson that is believed to be methamphetamine. Following the hospital visit, Patterson was charged with a felony count of possession of a controlled substance and incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Facility with bond set at $2,500. She was released from the jail the same day.
