American Legion baseball makes up the local Thursday schedule as one of the area’s biggest tournaments gets underway. The Mickey Huskey Twin Lakes Classic will be held through Sunday at Lester White Field at Cooper Park.
Pool play will be held Thursday through Saturday. A total of eight teams will participate as they will be divided up into two pools of four. On Sunday, the runners-up from each pool will meet to be followed by the pool winners playing for the tournament championship.
The Lockeroom will have the last game on each day of pool play. Mountain Home brings a 3-5 record into the tournament as their first opponent on Thursday will Germantown, Tennessee. Gametime is scheduled for 7:30.
Action begins at one p.m. between Harrison and Paragould, Conway faces Benton at 3:15, and Prescott meets Pontotoc, Mississippi, at 5:30.
