The annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life of the Twin Lakes event is set for Friday evening at Mountain Home High School’s Bomber Stadium.

According to organizers, cancer survivors, caregivers, volunteers, and community members are expected to gather for the Relay in an effort to create a world without cancer.

Hours for the Relay Friday evening are 6-11, with the survivor lap set for 6:15 and the luminaria ceremony scheduled for 9.

Funds raised help the American Cancer Society provide free information and support for people facing the disease and fund cancer research to help protect future generations.

During Relay for Life events, members of each team take turns walking or running around the track. Teams participate in fundraising in the months leading up to the event.
