McBee graduates from LSU banking school

A local banker recently received a diploma from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Arvest Bank of North Central Arkansas Executive Vice President and Sales Manager David McBee is among 164 bankers graduating from the three-year program after going through 180 hours of classroom instruction, 30 hours of reviews, planned evening study and written final examinations.

Students from 18 different states and Mexico participated in the session. The banking school requires attendance on campus for three years with extensive bank study assignments between sessions, and the faculty consisted of bankers, business and professional leaders and educators throughout the United States.

The Graduate School of Banking is sponsored by 15 southern state bankers associations in cooperation with the Division of Continuing Education at LSU.
