A Mountain Home woman, 30-year-old Haley Sullivan, has been charged in connection with the October 2016 theft of a vehicle taken from a residence on W Highway in Pontiac.

The Ozark County Times reports Sullivan is charged with second-degree burglary and stealing.

According to the filed affidavit, the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office was informed of the theft of several items from a residence in Pontiac, including a grey Ford LTD, fiberglass boat and trailer, a Mercury motor and several radiators.

Two days later, the Ozark County Sheriff’s Department received information from law enforcement in Baxter County that Sullivan had attempted to sell a Ford LTD to a Mountain Home area salvage yard.

Ozark County verified with the owner of the Pontiac property that no one had permission to take any items off his property.

According to the affidavit, Ozark County officers interviewed Sullivan in Baxter County after they were informed that she was in custody. During the interview, Sullivan reportedly admitted she had been on the property in Pontiac at least five times beginning in October 2016. Sullivan said she had entered a garage on the property and taken batteries, cast iron and other scrap items and loaded them into a boat which she later reportedly had an acquaintance take to her Mountain Home residence.

During the interview, Sullivan told officers that the last time she was on the property, she and a friend towed the grey 1976 Ford LTD from the garage and Sullivan signed the title to the vehicle as the purchaser. Sullivan also said she profited $70 from selling the scrap.

The Ozark County officers went to Sullivan’s Mountain Home residence and located the boat and Mercury motor identified as being taken from the property on W Highway.

The Times reports a hearing has not been scheduled.
