A spokesperson for Baxter County 911 says it was smooth sailing on Lake Norfork Monday night for the 32nd annual fireworks display. No major incidents were reported and weather conditions were fine.

Tuesday evening the James A. Gaston Visitor Center will be the site of Bull Shoals-White River State Park’s annual Fourth of July Celebration. The event begins at 6:30 and concludes with a fireworks display at approximately 9:15, and it’s free to the public with the exception of food and merchandise. Residents and tourists are invited to attend early with blankets and chairs. Kid-friendly activities will be available, and live music will be performed by the acoustic trio “Rio.” The Bull Shoals Police Auxiliary will sell brats, hot dogs, chips and drinks, and an ice cream truck will also be at the park. Fireworks can also be viewed from the lake, the Day Use Area of the park, Bull Shoals Dam, and the bluff down Powerhouse Road.

Other fireworks on the evening of the Fourth include the Stone County Fairgrounds in Mountain View and Harrison’s Fire in the Sky presentation at 9:00.
