3/8% tax levy ordinance on MH City Council agenda

Mountain Home Fireman Travis Dover will discuss an ordinance calling for a levy of a 3/8 percent sales and use tax for public safety purposes when the Mountain Home City Council Public Safety Committee meets Wednesday at 5:15 in the council chambers.The proposed ordinance is one of two items of business on the council’s agenda Thursday evening at 6. The council agenda indicates the ordinance will be presented by the Mountain Home Professional Fire Fighters Association.

The second item of business on the council’s agenda is a request to transfer $8,500 from a carryover line item into a salaries line item and a request to move $3,000 into the pool supplies/maintenance line item.

The council meeting will be held at 6 in the council chambers.
