A father and son are being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on felony drug offenses following officers from the Arkansas Department of Community Correction conducting a parole/probation compliance check Monday at a residence in Midway.

Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says the residence in Cedar Hills is the home of 49-year-old Thomas Salvadore Galluzzo III and his son, 19-year-old Thomas Salvadore Galluzzo IV.

During a search of the residence, numerous illegal items were found including approximately 4.2 grams of a white crystalline substance that field tested positive as methamphetamine. Other containers were located with marijuana and other illegal substances, as well as drug paraphernalia.

The two men are both charged with felony counts of possession of drug paraphernalia related to a methamphetamine pipe, possession of a schedule III controlled substance with purpose to deliver, possession of a scheduled IV controlled substance with purpose to deliver and possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver more than two grams.

Thomas Salvadore Galluzzo III is also charged with a parole violation, while his son is charged with a probation violation.

Their bonds are set at $25,000 each, and they are set to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court.
